Statewide DeafBlind Community of Practice Information

The Minnesota DeafBlind Community of Practice is currently comprised of mostly teachers of deaf/hard of hearing and teachers of blind/visually impaired. The community of practice shares professional training, resources and knowledge specific to deafblindness. In addition, each representative has a toolkit of books, videos and other resources that are available to be shared with education teams who support and teach children and youth who are DeafBlind.

In 2023-2024, the DeafBlind statewide community of practice will meet on Friday, September 29, 2023 (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), in-person at the BrightWorks office, and again Monday, February 26, 2024, (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) via Zoom.  All meetings include ASL interpreters and the Zoom meeting includes activated auto-captions for accessibility.
