Statewide DeafBlind Community of Practice Information
The Minnesota DeafBlind Community of Practice is currently comprised of mostly teachers of deaf/hard of hearing and teachers of blind/visually impaired. The community of practice shares professional training, resources and knowledge specific to deafblindness. In addition, each representative has a toolkit of books, videos and other resources that are available to be shared with education teams who support and teach children and youth who are DeafBlind.
The community of practice usually meets "twice per year" for two-day meetings: at the end of September and in February. In 2020-2021, the community of practice will meet one day in September, one day in November and then again in February for a two-day meeting.
